Benedikt Partenheimer

Benedikt Partenheimer, born in Germany in 1977, lives and works in Berlin. His work is based on a vital interest in the 'conditio humana', the conditions of human existence with a focus on political, socioeconomic and environmental issues. His photographic and video based works investigate methods of how we perceive the world. Since 2003, his work has been presented in numerous international solo and group exhibitions and was recognised at the Hearst 8x10 Photography Biennial in 2009, the Art Award for Literature and Photography in Potsdam, Germany, the Lead Awards and exhibited at the Haus der Photografie, Deichtorhallen, Hamburg, Germany. In 2012, he was nominated an artist-in-residence to the Art Scope Program of the Daimler Foundation in Tokyo.
